I'm currently recovering from a rather excellent but thoroughly exhausting few days of economic-sociological discussion. This consisted of two days of workshops and small-scale lectures and one day of a much larger public conference on 'Performance', at which I also gave a paper on the evaluation of national economic competitiveness. Thanks are due to various collaborators and colleagues who helped make it happen. I have many thoughts, reactions and bits of half-developed theory to share as a result, and I think Daniel Beunza may set the ball rolling on the Socializing Finance blog at some stage. More soon.
