Partly inspired by my Demos report, BBC Radio 4's In Business has just aired an episode looking at alternative company structures, which I and various more expert individuals contributed to. You can listen to it here (probably only in the UK, as it appears to be via iplayer).

The programme, and your report, are predicated on the Joint Stock Limited Liability Company as an enterprise model whether in genetically modified form or otherwise.
In my view, when the UK government was blackmailed by the accountancy profession into legislating the UK Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) they inadvertently made the Company obsolete.
By using LLPs as frameworks for 'self organisation' it is possible to take an entirely new approach to ownership generally and to "the firm" in particular through 'Capital partnership' between providers and users of capital in all its forms.
