Blogging is all about one's 'narcisstatistics': finding out who and how many people are reading you (oh, and coming up with great new neologisms. Or neoblogisms, as I like to call them). My statcounter currently reveals the following information:
As someone who is a professional voyeur on other people's economic power, I find it a little disconcerting to find my gaze being returned by Goldman Sachs, on this day of all days. I have two explanations:
A) Someone has just received such a vast cheque, that he/she now has sufficient leisure time ahead of them that they can indulge in some of the most indulgent economic theorising yet devised.
B) Having run out of words to describe the amount of financial over-spill that they are currently being personally drenched by, they've turned to the internet to try and find out what a 'potlatch' is.
If it's B, you're bang on the money, guys.
Ahem. It's obviously 'pissing about' day at Goldman Sachs today, since I've had a visit as well. It's the occasional visit I get from an official looking IP address in Cheltenham which worries me a bit more though....

interesting. Maybe they're trying to work out which Lefty bloggers to patronise with some of the spare dosh.
